The Care Certificate Assessor course will be half a day course aimed at senior care staff who in their role are required to assess the Care Certificate. The course will provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to be a Care Certificate Competent Assessor.
This session is delivered face to face in a fun relaxed group over a morning or afternoon period. Those taking part will learn through a range of interactive and participative activities, and from practical application of the subject manner.
A short assessment will be undertaken at the end of the course to confirm learning and understanding.
This course enables you to develop your support staff workers in the principles of assessment and thus aid quality workplace assessment of new starters.
Course Outcomes:
- Understand the principles and requirements of assessment.
- Use a range of assessment methods.
- Plan Care Certificate assessments and make consistent assessment decisions.
- Involve employees and others in assessment of the Care Certificate.
- Manage Information and gather auditable evidence.
- Understand quality assurance of the assessment process.
- Understand Legal and good practice requirements.
- Learn from their peers facing similar problems.
- Gain an understanding of potential career progression opportunities and further learning/competency acquisition related to training and assessment.
