National Apprenticeship Week - Blaze a Trail

The 12th annual Apprenticeship Week takes place from Monday 4 March to Friday 8 March 2019 and coincides with National Careers Week and International Women’s Day on the Friday.

This year's theme is "blaze a trail" and is an opportunity to share the benefits that apprenticeships bring to the Health and Care sector, local Communities and Individuals. If your organisation is planning on promoting apprenticeships in the health and care sector, raising awareness of routes into the Health and Care sector and roles that may not be as obvious, hosting an event or activities, we would love to hear from you and share your activities wider across the WYHEC network and our website in the future months.

Alternatively, why not use Apprenticeship week to submit a nomination for the monthly WYHEC Accolades directly to our generic email account :

The National Skills Academy for Health Excellence Centre Conference 21st March 2019

The National Skills Academy is holding an inaugural Excellence Centre conference in Sheffield on March 21, 9:30am - 3:30pm, at the Mercure Hotel St Pauls.

The event is free and provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Excellence Centre model, to share experiences and best practice with other organisations and to network with partners and counterparts across the health and social care sector.

The day will be an interactive one with enriching ‘world café’ sessions and informative talks from specially    selected guest speakers. There will also be plenty of networking time factored in.

The conference is aimed at acute trusts, primary and secondary trusts, CCGs, local authorities and training   providers whom are already part of an existing Excellence Centre or those who wish to find out more about getting involved in one.
